Cinnamon Rolls with cream cheese frosting

Today's recipe post comes from my very talented younger sister Lucy who is bit of a brilliant baker. She's shown me how to make these amazing apple, pecan and cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting. This is her recipe so I can't take any of the credit but I do know that they really are amazing and bound to brighten up any dreary day.

For this recipe you will need...

Dough mixture
2 cups of plain flour
2 tbsp brown sugar
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
3 tbsp unsalted butter/margarine
3/4 milk
1 tbsp cinnamon

1 medium apple (peeled, cored & cut into small pieces)
handful of pecans
1 cup brown sugar
4 tsp butter
1 tbsp cinnamon 

Frosting: (recipe here - Taken from the Hummingbird Bakery cookbook)
Cream cheese
Icing sugar

Pre-heat oven to 180°C 
In a large bowl mix together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Fold the 3 tbsp of butter into the dough along with milk - (use hands when adding the butter)
This should then to form a soft dough (like image below)

Roll out dough onto a floured surface into a rectangle around 1/4 inch thick
Rub 4 tsp of butter on to the dough and evenly sprinkle on the brown sugar
Add the chopped apple and pecans, then form the dough into a tight roll shape

Slice the dough into thick pieces and arrange separately into muffin tin or dish
Bake in the oven for 20-24 minutes
Once they're ready let the rolls cool and drizzle or pipe on the cream cheese frosting
