Recent beauty Purchases.

make up beauty blogger

It's been ages since I've done a beauty post, so I thought I would share with you some of my recent purchases. I've been popping into Boots quite a lot recently and buying a few bits here and there and one night after dinner date (with two of my favourite ladies) I had a naughty spending splurge with my good friend Liv

I had a big clear out of my make up collection recently and got rid of a lot of old products. It made me realise that I really didn't have many base/face products at all, so I picked up Rimmel's Fix & Perfect primer after Liv highly recommended it to me. I also got two of my favourite products just to have as back ups, Maybelline's BB cream in light and Collection lasting perfection concealer also in light. I rarely use powder to finish off my make up so I decided to pick up Rimmel's Stay Matte powder after hearing all the YouTube beauty guru's raving about it. Another product that I've bought over and over again is L'Oreal Paris's Superliner in Black, it's a great eyeliner to achieve that winged out look. After my big clear out I also realised I need to invest in a few more brushes as my collection was looking a bit sparse.

A top tip I have is if you get given one of the £3/£5 off No 7 vouchers from Boots, use it to buy make up brushes! You can get some really great make up brushes for under £3. So I picked up the smokey eye brush for £4.25 and I love it!

One of the products I was most excited about was this Models Own nail polish in the shade Purple Blue. It's from their Beetlejuice collection which came out around this time last year. The picture doesn't do the polish complete justice I love the effect that you get with it, I paired this with a navy one I already have in my collection to make sure the colour was really opaque. After testing the nail polish I think you can get away with just doing two coats.

The second product is one I've been after for a while, it's Sleek's blush in Rose Gold. I'm not the biggest fan of blush on myself I always find that it doesn't look that great on me, however I will make an exception for this one. The golden shimmer in the blush if used lightly can give you nice bit of colour of your cheeks and at the same time highlight your cheekbones.

What beauty products have you picked up recently and what do you think? I really like finding out about new products and what people think of them, whether it's good or bad!
